Moonlight Nectar in Mistfall Hunter — Sources, Use and Open Questions

PC / PS5 / Xbox Series X|SGame version: Season 1 (launch)Verified: Partially sourced

Moonlight Nectar refines into Star Silver at the Goddess Statue (NPC Ashe, camp Windrest) — see the Star Silver guide for the full chain. Multiple post-launch outlets report repeatable Nectar sources: the Mall sells it for 200 Soul Coins each, plus Journey Overview milestones and Slumbering Contracts; it does not drop as expedition loot. These routes are third-party-reported and never officially documented. The one official grant — Wave 3 login mail, Nectar ×5 — expired 2026-08-12 12:00 UTC.

What Moonlight Nectar is forThird-partyThird-party

Moonlight Nectar is the input for Star Silver refinement. Take it to the Goddess Statue in camp Windrest, talk to NPC Ashe and choose 'Refine Star Silver' — the full chain, costs and open questions are on the Star Silver page. [7] [8]

Multiple post-launch outlets report this use with screenshots, but Bellring has never officially documented it — so we label it third-party-tested, not confirmed, until we capture the refinement UI in-game.

Reported repeatable sources (third-party-tested)Third-partyThird-party

  • Mall purchase — 200 Soul Coins each. Reported consistently by multiple outlets with screenshots; not officially documented. [7] [8]
  • Journey Overview task milestones — reported free source. [7] [8]
  • Slumbering Contracts — reported free source. [7] [8]
  • First conversation with NPC Ashe at the Goddess Statue — reported one-time grant. [7] [8]
  • Not expedition loot — the same outlets state Nectar does not drop on expeditions. [7] [8]

Battle Pass: what is official, what is notThird-partyOfficial

Official (DevNote #7, 2026-07-24): the Season 1 Battle Pass, 'Slumbering Contract', unlocks free after 7 cumulative login days. [10]

Unverified: whether that Battle Pass reward track actually contains Moonlight Nectar. Only one outlet (Nerds Chalk) claims so, without attribution — we keep this as a community lead, not a fact. [9]

The expired official grant: Wave 3 login rewardOfficialThird-party

Bellring Games officially granted Moonlight Nectar ×5 in the Roadmap and Launch Rewards: Wave 3 announcement (2026-08-05), claimable via in-game mail. [1] GamesRadar+ independently reported the same grant as part of the studio's 1-million-players celebration. [3]

The claim window ended 2026-08-12 12:00 UTC. Treat this as an expired historical grant: if you did not claim the mail in time, it is gone. [1]

Wave 3 claim window has ended

The Wave 3 Nectar ×5 grant was time-limited and the window closed at 2026-08-12 12:00 UTC. If you claimed it in time, the Nectar is in your inventory; if not, this one-time grant is no longer available. Repeatable sources above are the way forward. [1]

Numbers we deliberately do not publish

Two figures circulate that we will not state as fact: a Slag → Star Silver conversion rate claimed by only one outlet (Nerds Chalk), and a garbled '1,200 Soul Coins' Nectar figure from Mobalytics that contradicts the 200-Soul-Coin Mall price shown in screenshots by multiple other outlets. Single-source or self-contradicting numbers stay out of this page until in-game evidence settles them. [7] [8] [9]

Historical community claims (superseded)

Before the post-launch guides arrived, players disagreed about Nectar sources: a July 31 thread (Amasacrator1) variously attributed Nectar to the Battle Pass, quests or paid sources, and an August 3 thread (ItsdrJ3kyll) reported small quest/Pass supply and Star Silver refinement use. The refinement use and paid route have since been corroborated by screenshot-backed outlets; the rest remains unverified. These threads are kept as historical leads only. [4] [5]

FAQ

Can you farm Moonlight Nectar in Mistfall Hunter?

Reportedly yes: multiple outlets show the Mall selling Nectar for 200 Soul Coins each, plus free routes via Journey Overview milestones, Slumbering Contracts and the first conversation with NPC Ashe. These are third-party-reported, never officially documented; Nectar does not drop as expedition loot. [7] [8]

What is Moonlight Nectar used for?

It refines into Star Silver at the Goddess Statue (NPC Ashe, camp Windrest) — the chain, costs and unknowns are on the Star Silver page. Third-party-reported, not officially documented. [7] [8]

Is the Wave 3 Moonlight Nectar reward still claimable?

No. The claim window ended 2026-08-12 12:00 UTC, so the one-time ×5 grant is now an expired historical reward. [1]

Does the Season 1 Battle Pass give Moonlight Nectar?

Officially, the 'Slumbering Contract' Battle Pass unlocks free after 7 cumulative login days (DevNote #7). Whether its reward track contains Nectar is unverified — only one outlet claims so, unattributed — so we treat it as a lead, not a fact. [9] [10]

Change log

  • Published with confirmed/unknown structure: Wave 3 ×5 grant verified against official announcement and GamesRadar+; long-term sources left unconfirmed with conflicting community claims flagged.
  • Upgraded with post-launch outlet research (GameRant, All Things How): added reported repeatable sources (Mall 200 Soul Coins each, Journey Overview milestones, Slumbering Contracts, first Ashe conversation), the refinement use into Star Silver (now a published page), and the official DevNote #7 fact that the Season 1 Battle Pass unlocks free after 7 login days. Marked the Wave 3 ×5 grant expired (window ended 2026-08-12 12:00 UTC); kept conversion ratios, the Soul Coin ↔ Fate Coin exchange and single-source figures (Nerds Chalk Slag rate, Mobalytics '1,200 Soul Coins') unpublished.
